This is an important development for students and schools alike. Until Windows 8 is officially released on October 26, 2012, there is little solid data to further speculate how this will unfold. It does seem that we are about the embark upon three ecosystems for tablets; iOS, Android, and Windows 8, as well as new types of hardware devices more closely aligned with student needs.
